Course Maps
5k route marked in red
1/4 marathon loop will run the 5k red route but will also run the add on loops shown in yellow which will leave the normal 5k loop and then join back up with it.
1/4 Marathon Loop Course Description
The 1/4 Marathon loop will begin in the Landing Zone Parking lot. Athletes will then take a right into the Basic Training area kids loop which is a flat smooth curving loop. After completing this section they will proceed out the Basic Training area and will proceed onto the next part of the route. (They will skip the wooded trail in the Basic Training area)
Athletes will then begin on the perimeter loop on the park which is a looping trail with a short climb towards the end of this section. They will then turn right onto the Blue Alpha loop as seen on the unmarked loop. This section is a very hilly up and down section of the course.
Athletes will then turn left onto the perimeter / lake trail to continue around the lake. 1/4 marathon athletes will then turn left off of the lake loop to continue on the perimeter loop. This section is most flat to small rolling sections with 1 decent steep climb. Athletes will then turn right back onto the Lake trail where they will begin a climb. After the climb the trail levels out for an easy slightly downhill climb for the most part.
Athletes then turn right to continue along the lake loop trail (they will no longer be turning left at the Mega Pumps) you will continue on this trail until you meet back up with the perimeter trail.
After athletes finish the perimeter trail they will then proceed through the finish line in the Landing Zone parking lot. (They will no longer be doing the dual solemn trail) 1/4 marathoners will end their race here and 1/2 marathoners will start a 2nd loop.
5k Course Description
